Christ was sent by God to accomplish an extremely critical mission. The main purpose of that mission was to create a way through which humanity can be brought back to God and inherit eternal life. Glory to God, it was a mission that was fulfilled successfully and victoriously when He willingly gave His life and came back to life after three days.

With that being said, there’s another vital work that must be carried out in the life of those who have accepted Him as their personal Savior and Lord. And it’s an ongoing life-changing transformation that must be transpired. It’s the very transformation that will show plainly both the transformative and regenerating power of Christ’s death on people’s lives (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The main reason is that it’s the very element that will demonstrate the awesome transformative and regenerating power of the Lord’s death on people’s lives (2 Corinthians 5:17). That’s exactly why God sent the Holy Spirit to come to indwell those who believe in His only Son. His job is to empower us, so that we can be fruitful for the glory of God and become who God wants us to be in Christ.

Before Christ ascended to heaven, He had a conversation with His disciples regarding someone who will be sent by God in order to help them. He said to them, God will send you another advocate (John 14:16).

So the term “another” means someone who’ll be just like Him. Someone who will be as caring, supportive, loving, compassionate, and protective as He has always been to them. He spoke about different roles that person will play in their lives such as leading them into all truth, reminding them of everything He said, and teaching and helping them to understand the Word of God.

The Holy Spirit is sent to constantly remind us of who we are in Christ. He’s the One who testifies with our own spirit that we’re children of the most high God (Romans 8:16), which is indicative to how precious we’re to God. He’s the One who helps us to remain faithful to both God and His Word in the midst of trials.

He’s the One who helps us endure temptation. After everything that we've learned about the Holy Spirit, it’s time that we depend up on Him completely, so that He can successfully carry out what He was sent to do in our lives. Lastly, the Christian life is based entirely on the kind of refining work He’s constantly bringing forth into our lives. See Christian marriage.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06753493306255068511noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752486468349237892.post-85015053440161025432014-07-01T10:43:00.000-07:002015-06-13T15:58:47.656-07:00God is More Pleased by Faith rather than Only Obedience“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6).

Faith is greatly exemplified in Hebrews Chapter 11, where it shows people of the Old Testament being blessed for exercising their faith. Nevertheless, before the Book provides the list for being faithful, God also warns us that most crucial part of the life of a Christian is faith, and God is not pleased with the person who lacks it.

Consider, not only giving the levy, but also devote all your money to work of God. Your life should be dedicated to serve God in any capacity, even if it is using all your spare moments to do such work. You could be spending many hours every day in reading the bible and doing prayers; however, God will not be pleased with all such things, when you lack faith.

Faith is the key element that distinguishes Christianity from other religious beliefs. It is said that Christianity is not simply a religion, but relating with the almighty at a very close level, and this is very easy to comprehend when there is faith. Religions other than Christianity emphasize on pleasing their god by doing certain things. Therefore, in other religions, salvation is a result of some work, and they mainly teach the things to be done for attaining salvation. However, the bible in contrast, explains that Christ has already attained salvation for us.

Take some time to consider, how salvation's important facets is connected with eternal life. When God's nature is eternal, what duration of work is required to gain eternal life? All this seems impossible to attain.

Unfortunately, quite a few Christians believe in conducting their lives by following some exercise, ritual, or formula for obtaining favor of God. For instance, the act of giving, is usually done out of belief or obligation, with the fear that God will strike them from heavens if they fail to do this. They believe that if they part with certain amount of funds, God will facilitate the work promotion that they have been praying so hard to achieve. You definitely cannot call this faith.

However, when you have true faith and offer tithe, fully knowing certain bills will remain unpaid, then you are looking up to God and communicating that even though this is beyond your understanding, you are going to obey the rule anyway out of trust and love, and you believe that everything will work out all right.

In such instance, we truly exercise faith, as we do not know the outcome of being obedient, and this truly pleases God. To know that I have pleased God is truly wonderful, and anybody will agree with this.

I have come across certain believers of God who unfortunately have a mistaken belief that what they do will take them to heaven and save them. I have come across many such people when I go to houses and present the gospel. When I come across such people, I think they would even tread on broken glass on their bare knees, if they believed that God would be pleased by such works.

The tragedy is that many people want to receive God's favors and they think that to gain God's love they have to do certain works. However, the truth is people simply have to act out of faith rather than obediently following certain rules to gain a particular objective. What is required is simply a trusting attitude and deep faith in God. When people have such faith, God looks down upon us, and definitely says He is pleased. See why Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Faith is a key element that is very significant in the Christian life in case someone is serious in pleasing God. It's understood that it's not easy to exercise faith in a being that we cannot see and touch. Despite of that, God is telling us in his word that we have to put our faith in Him if we want to please him. Our faith in God is what makes us reliable to him. This is what strengthens us, sustains, and encourages us when we are going through tough time in our lives. Lastly, our faith also strengthens our prayer. "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15 - 16).

Today people are willing to debate how a Christian should behave. This is something that has never happened in the past 2,000 years since Calvary. Instead, the way that a person was to live a pure, holy life was simply assumed.

If you were to actually look back at the requirements of all the major denominations you may actually be shocked to learn that there were some strict consequences in place for church members whose lives brought shame and reproach to the name of Christ. In fact, it wasn't all that uncommon to hear of members who were barred from membership for a period of time based upon what type of offense they committed. This was different from preventing them from attending church services. Instead, it simply meant that they weren't allowed to enjoy the privileges of their church membership.

Starting in the 1960s there was an overall rebellion that swept across the United States. The hippie generation that existed during that time also started to affect what was going on within the church itself. At this time, there was a teaching that took root that held Christians to specific standards of behavior whenever it came to things like modesty, as well as abstaining from both alcohol and cigarettes. Many people started to refer to this as "legalism."

The real definition of the word "legalism" has to do with requiring good works as a condition of "being saved." Today, there are a lot of religions that actually teach this. For instance, Islam teaches that in order to be saved you must do certain things. Mormonism also believes the same thing. Whenever one of my friends went to a Mormon Church website to chat with someone about their questions, they asked the Mormon about how they felt in regards to salvation. The Mormon answered that the church believes that both faith and works are needed for a person to be saved. This is nothing short of legalism.

In the Bible, Peter plainly stated that God commands us to be holy because He is holy. Does that mean that Peter was a legalist who wished to impose his beliefs upon other people? This really doesn't make any sense, especially when you stop to consider that Peter knew Jesus personally whenever Jesus was alive on Earth. In fact, it wouldn't be wrong to consider that Paul may have known more about what God expected of people than those who don't think there's any need to be holy.

God doesn't suggest that we be holy, He commands that we be holy. Holiness doesn't have anything to do with salvation. The Bible clearly states that works, including holy living, doesn't have anything to do with salvation. Of course, this doesn't mean we shouldn't live holy lives. In fact, not living a holy life means that you don't love God because you can't love Him while disobeying his commandments.

Haven't you known that holiness is so critical concerning living a life pleasing to God? Holy living is not a suggestion; instead, we are commanded in the word of God according to 1 Peter 1:15 to live that kind of life. Holiness is so important up to the point that no one will see God without it. That is why it is very important that we as believer to do our best to submit our whole being to God moment by moment to sanctification, so that we can live the type of life he desires us to live. See what is sanctification.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer,
believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24).

Some time ago, I was asked by pastors to rate from the most
to the least important, what they felt were their responsibilities and duties
to be performed. Number one on the list of all pastors was prayer. They were
then asked to revise their ranking by the amount of time spent on the items on
their list. To great surprise, the amount of time devoted to prayer was at the
bottom of the list.

It is obvious to all, that those in the position of
spiritual leadership had dropped the ball somewhere in this maze. With these
points being made in regard to the spiritual leaders, there is little doubt
that if it were laypeople being questioned, the numbers would be even much
greater.

When we consider what Jesus thought and how He felt about
prayer, this is truly a tragedy. Jesus, being God in the flesh, certainly had
no need to ask anything of God through prayer. In spite of this being the case,
He did spend a lot of time praying and speaking to His followers about the
value and importance of prayer.

Jesus never said, "if you pray", He always said
"when you pray". The understanding here by the Lord was that
Christians should and would devote much of their time to prayer. The truth is
that like eating, breathing and sleeping, it is an expected part of life. Let
me pose a question to you. If you breathed, slept and ate with the same amount
of time and effort you put into prayer, would you have passed away from
suffocation, sleep deprivation or starvation?

If in fact that had been the standard, unfortunately I feel
that the majority of Christians would now be dead. When we consider what prayer
really is, this is even more tragic. Jesus once told us that "when you
pray, believe you will get them, and you will". The message here is that
prayer is asking, a petition.

While I am all for praising God with your lips, and in your
mind, that is not prayer. If you go on to Him about His might and power, and
that you are amazed how a pure and holy God would even let us speak to Him,
this is all wonderful, but it is not prayer. See Christian marriage.

God is totally pleased when we come to Him with our needs
and wants, he is happy to hear from us. None of what we say goes past Him.
Thinking back to when I was a kid, I would go to my earthly father with both my
wants and my needs. Of course, he was aware of the basic needs I had such as
clothing, shelter and food, but he also took joy when I went to him with my
list of wants. Our Father in Heaven is not different at all. Prayer is the
method for us to go to the Universe's Creator to ask for those things important
to us. It is literally a shame that more Christians don't realize this and take
advantage of it.

Prayer is vital part of Christian life. It’s our way of communicating with our Heavenly Father concerning our needs. It’s shocking that many Christians don’t really understand the importance of prayer. We are commanded by Jesus in the word of God to bring our petition to God, when offering our daily prayer to him we should always believe that he hears us because he is a loving and caring father by willing to provide for our needs. See having faith in God.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06753493306255068511noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752486468349237892.post-42329556481227803702014-06-11T16:01:00.001-07:002015-02-03T16:03:56.091-08:00The Trinity Provides All Your NeedsMany people across the globe who are not true believers in Jesus Christ present the argument that all religions and belief systems are the same, including Christianity. They object to any creed, stating that religion has started conflicts of every kind, including major wars. Yet, Communism, which espouses no belief in any kind of deity, is responsible for numerous deaths since its inception.

People who support an ecumenical movement will say that Christianity is nothing unique, and the reason for that is because Christians worship the same God. Muslims will use this claim to present their religion to those who may not know a whole lot about religion in general. They will say things such as they worship the God of Jacob, Isaac and Abraham, and that means that they worship the God that Christians and Jews worship. This is the basis that they will sometimes use to call for interfaith services.

If groups were honest, then they would be clear about a distinction that makes Christianity stand out from all else. This distinction is that Christianity is the only religion that teaches trinity, a biblical doctrine. It is clearly revealed that the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are three distinct individuals, but they are all God.

Therefore, proponents of belief systems other than Christianity cannot say that all religions have honest common ground on which they can believe and function together. Furthermore, as the world's religions really are very diverse in what they believe, and distinctively, only Christians say God is triune (i.e. He functions within a 3-person Trinity), then people will proselytize. In other words, if they are honest followers of their own creeds, they cannot help but try to persuade others to believe what they believe.

Remember, Paul often began and ended his epistles referencing the power and grace of God. Paul closes out II Corinthians 13:14 by saying that God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost will be with them in order to sustain them during their times of trial and tribulation. However, it is worth noting that Paul did call attention to people who belonged to the most carnal church that they would be taken care of by three individuals, distinct individuals at that.

However, people need not to make the mistake of thinking that Christianity is just like any other religion out there. You need to remember that one of our most important foundations is a doctrine, and this doctrine cannot be explained to the full extent. Even though the doctrine cannot be fully explained, it is completely true. You should keep in mind that the trinity is what really makes Christianity stand out.

The doctrine of the Trinity seems to be the most highly debated issue in the church. It’s pretty obvious the human mind can not comprehend that. But, there are strong evidences throughout the word of God that support that. Each individual is identified as God, while we are told there is only one God. Since, the word of God is true as believer in Christ we have the sole responsibility to accept it as it is because we are God’s representatives in this world.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06753493306255068511noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752486468349237892.post-87946508879217093552014-06-10T18:08:00.001-07:002015-02-21T07:59:55.846-08:00Good Ambassadorship Brings Glory To God“A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health” (Proverbs 13:17).

“So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”” (II Corinthians 5:20).

For Americans who wish to serve abroad, ambassador is one of the most highly sought after positions. This position is commonly handed out based on political favors to the president or to the political party that the president belongs to. Although our sinful nature can corrupt the appointment of ambassadors by placing people in these positions who lack the proper qualifications, there are a number of reasons why people who show loyalty to the president are appointed.

To develop a clear understanding of this and of what Paul was talking about, we need to know more about the duties and responsibilities that ambassadors hold. It is first important to note that ambassadors live in countries that are not their own. The Bible makes it clear that as believers, this world is not a home to us because our home is in heaven. An ambassador, however, is not just someone who lives in a different country. There are lots of people with visas who go to other countries on vacation, but these individuals are tourists, rather than ambassadors. Tourists enter into foreign countries solely for personal enjoyment or for a vacation. None of them have the intention of working there.

Another important consideration is that ambassadors are the embodiment of the nations they represent. Many inhabitants of the countries they visit may be unfamiliar with the ambassador's home country. They may never have even met a person from the ambassador's homeland, and they may never met another person from that land again. An ambassador shoulders the responsibility of displaying behavior that he wants associated with his home country, because to the natives of the country he is visiting, this behavior will become representative of all members of the ambassador's home country. Bad behavior promotes a bad image of his homeland, and good behavior promotes a good image of his homeland.

An ambassador also serves as the face of his country to everyone he encounters. Many people who live in a country are not going to travel abroad and this means that the ambassador is the only person who they will see from a particular foreign country. If the behavior of the ambassador is poor, people will assume that everyone from his home nation behaves in the same way.

Marines who had been deployed to Japan were given a warning from their base commander that they were all serving as ambassadors for both their branch of the US military and their country and they were therefore instructed to behave honorably. Some time ago, there were Marines in this region who raped a young woman from Okinawa. Widespread protests arose given that most residents on the island believed that this behavior was indicative of every American.

These Marines were wicked messengers rather than faithful ambassadors. As a believer in Christ, whether you like it or not, you serve as an ambassador for Christ. This means that you have no right to promote an agenda of your own, but are instead instructed to share the message that you have been given to share. This why Paul, when speaking to the residents of Corinth, said that he was talking in Christ's stead and asking that they be reconciled to God.

Is the life that you're living sanctified and holy in order for you to be a good representative of your heavenly home while you live in this world? When people see you, what will they think that heaven is really like? Would your lifestyle make people want to live in heaven or would they think that heaven should be avoided? Are you a wicked servant or a faithful ambassador? You have to make this determination, given that you are completely aware of your own lifestyle.

God is appealing to us as believer in Christ to live our lives in a way that He can be reflected through us. We are God’s representatives on this earth; He is doing His work through us by the person of the Holy Spirit. Our responsibility is to get into the word of God, so that we can know His ways. In addition, we are commanded to live a life that pleases Him. That's why it's very important that we learn what is sanctification?

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06753493306255068511noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752486468349237892.post-1043184548000427212014-06-05T17:39:00.000-07:002015-02-03T16:01:19.333-08:00God's Words Last ForeverModern day young Christians are offered numerous ways to learn God's word. More often than not, the so-called religious teachers cast doubt on the truthfulness and authority of the Lord's word. When an individual finds salvation, it is easy to make him think that the Bible is God's word and that the scriptures are unquestionable. Naturally, this assumption makes a great deal of sense, as it was God's word that helped him in his hour of need and following the pathway of the Lord restored him. If Gods word was untrustworthy, then how else was he saved?

One hard truth regarding the Christian walk is the fact that just because one has been saved life does not stop having difficulties. This fact will challenge the faith of the one who has been born again. Inevitably, teachers, scholars, and those with contradictory beliefs will attempt to use intellectualism to disprove the salvation of the new Christian to them. This behavior is to be expected from those who do not know their Creator or Savior, and the new Christian may feel the need to be very guarded and defensive in regard to their faith.

Sadly, a percentage of young students who attend Christian schools and universities will fare little better. Some learned people who refer to themselves as bible teachers will endeavor to shake other people’s faith by stating that the original word of God means something quite different. The same teachers will insist that other phrases offer a better translation, in other words, they feel their word is God. However, in reality, such talk is foreign to the Apostles and other leading bible characters. They boldly proclaim that the word of God is good and confidently say "Thus said the Lord".

In Biblical times, there were simply "the Holy scriptures". They had not been translated at that time; the Bible was predominantly Hebrew and Greek, and the apostles took God at His Word. Psalm 12:6-7 clearly states that the Lord's words are perfect and pure in their entirety. It also tells us that His words will endure forever. This should be taken literally.
The times we live in are irrelevant to the truth of the Word of God. For as long as man has existed he has provided arguments to attempt to dispel the Word of God and discount its truths. Regarding this be encouraged! The Lord has promised to sustain us through His uncompromised Word! He is not a man that He should lie. He is fully able to do what he has promised, with ease. Not only does He preserve the words themselves, but also the purpose and message remain uncompromised.
The aspects of the word of God that are of primary importance, is that its author, the Holy Spirit, stands rigidly behind it. In addition, to transform and attract people to Christ, he does his works through it. The most encouraging scripture in regard to the steadfastness, trustworthiness and reliability of the word of God is located in Jeremiah 1:1, where God himself is happy to make the statement, "I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled". None of the faithless seem to get this message and understand it, but those of faith can continue to pray they will!
If you are a believer in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, you should be aware of the fact that, the Bible is the authoritative word of God revealed to men by the Holy Spirit. The purpose of that word is to help us know who God is and how we can live a life pleasing to him. Because the word is both true and infallible, we can exercise faith in God alone. By regularly learning his word under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we can have confidence that God hears us when we offer our daily prayer to him.
